Pottsboro—Steven W. Dunkle, 63, of Pottsboro, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his residence in Pottsboro.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Georgetown Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Handcock will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison.
Serving as his pallbearers will be, Brian Dunkle, Tony Dunkle, Rory Dunkle, Evan Albin, Michael Garcia and Kevin Garcia.
Steve was born in Alhambra, California on September 6, 1953, the son of James Lee and Barbara Ann Lewis Dunkle . He graduated from La Mirada High School in 1971 and Cal State- Fullerton in 1984. Steve and Susan Branam were married in Reno, Nevada on March 21, 1987. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Haliburton Industries for 25 years and was the owner of The Tackle Box in Pottsboro. Steve and Susan loved refurbishing old cars, especially Old Ford Broncos.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Dunkle; father, James Dunkle, both of Pottsboro; son, Brian Dunkle of Denton, TX and brothers, Tony Dunkle of Bakersfield, CA and Rory Dunkle of Pottsboro.
