Sue “Me Maw” Cox, 84, of Denison, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Reverend Dave Pettigrew will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Clark, Garrett Clark, Gavin Clark, Will Johnson, Darin Johnson and Zeke Johnson.
Sue was born in Wilson, Oklahoma on October 25, 1929, the daughter of Clarence and Gladys Chlor Clodfelter. She was married on January 14, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas to John Cox. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2013.
Sue worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and Texoma Medical Center. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by her son, Richard R. Cox of Abilene, Texas; daughter, Johnnie Sue Johnson and her husband, Will of Denison; brother, Charles Manley Clodfelter of El Paso, Texas; two granddaughters, Kerri Clark and her husband, Chance of Whitehouse, Texas and Laci Polston of Denison; two great-grandsons, Garrett Clark and Gavin Clark of Whitehouse, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cox and her son, Randy Cox.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
