Thelma Wineinger Vick, 102 year old Denison resident died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Denton, Johnny Denton, Bobby Denton, Ricky Denton, Ronnie Crossland, Aarron Overturf and Tyler Overturf.
Thelma was born January 30, 1911 in Greenville, Texas. She was the daughter of John Lloyd and Maggie Mae Williams Wineinger. She was a 1930 graduate of Denison High School.
Thelma and Earl John Vick were married in Denison in the Wineinger family home on December 5, 1937. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1997.
In her early life she was a dental hygienist of Dr. Medder and Drs. Choice and Clayton Elmore. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Gale Wineinger of Kentucky; a host of neices and nephews including special niece, Tammie Wineinger Overturf.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; brothers, Johnny Wineinger, Jack Wineinger, Charles Wineinger, Dale Wineinger and Ted Wineinger; sisters, Peggy Denton, Fairy Wineinger and Alma Lane.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the donor’s favorite charity.
