Theresa “Myrtis” Thompson passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 in Tomball, Texas. She was 92.
Myrtis was born March 24, 1926 in Delcambre, Louisiana, to Aurelie and Agnes Falgout. She graduated from Delcambre High School and attended business school in Lafayette, Louisiana. She married Bill “B.D.” Thompson on May 5, 1946 in Delcambre, Louisiana. They were married for 57 years before his death on March 14, 2003.
Myrtis retired in 1983 from Exxon Mobil Corporation after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Denison, Texas and was active with its Altar Society. She also volunteered with the Auxiliary at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Myrtis loved all sports, especially baseball and was a huge fan of the Texas Rangers. She also enjoyed water skiing and snow skiing.
Myrtis is survived by her daughters: Katherine Thompson and Theresa Thompson; sister: Lillian LeBlanc and brother: John Falgout; grandchildren: Rob Liebbe (and wife, Kim), James Liebbe (and wife, Valerie) and Cynthia DeKeyzer (and husband, James); great grandchildren: William and Sam Liebbe, Anna, Ella, Eli and Asher Liebbe and Walker and Wyatt Rollins, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Denison, Texas, on Saturday, April 7 at 11am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Denison, Texas. A rosary will be held at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison, Texas, on Friday, April 6 at 6:30pm, followed by a visitation.
The family suggests that memorials be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Denison, Texas.

    Aunt Myrtis was the first person to welcome me into this family I loved her very much and miss all of the phone conversations we had until she got sick she will be in my heart forever
