David Smith, 64, died on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his home in Sherman.
David was born in Denison, Texas on February 14, 1957, the son of Jerry Mire and Betty Jean (McGuire) Smith. He and Angel Thompson were married on September 20, 1991 at Hagerman Wildlife Refuge on Lake Texoma.
She preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with Chaplain Chris Pope officiating.
David is survived by his daughters, Heather Smith of Denison, Jessica Smith of Pottsboro and Nikki Rangel and her husband, Johnny of Sherman; brothers, Jerry Armstrong and his wife, Judy of Prairieville, LA and Jimmy Armstrong and his wife, Honey of Sherman; sisters, Betty Faye McClendon and her husband, Andy of Poplarville, MS and Sandra Longacre and her husband, Larry of Garland, TX and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Steve Smith and Eddie Armstrong.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
