DALLAS
William E. Fowler Jr., 69, of Dallas passed away Friday, September 10, 2010 after a courageous year long battle with lung cancer. Services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Chapel On The Hill Mausoleum at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, TX.
Family night will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas.
Mr. Fowler was born March 8, 1941 to William Earl and Eleanore York Fowler in Denison. He was a long time resident of Dallas and was employed by State Farm Ins. Company for 46 years as a State Farm agent. Formerly, he was on the Dallas Police reserve and a professor of computer science at Eastfield College. Bill was a kind and gentle man, generous and loyal to his family and friends. He was dedicated to his family, always their protector and provider; giving strength to us all. He will be loved now and always.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Fowler; daughter, Sheila Fowler; grandson, Westin Henson and wife Raechelle; great-granddaughter, Aubrie; mother-in-law Doris Morvant; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Susan Henson.
