I am heartbroken that your father has left us. I sat by him recently at Dale Joseph’s memorial. He was as pleasant as ever and I really enjoyed our conversation that day. I know he is leaving a big hole in his family and community. He was so loved by his family and friends.I can’t help but think that Al and God had this worked out. He leaves us on tax day; after being a CPA for 50 years. His sense of humor to the very end. We will be praying for your family and all that loved him.

In addition to being a good friend, always sharing his wonderful sense of humor, setting an example of one of God’s children, and making sure the IRS received our proper tax documents, Al showed us how precious each day of our life is and how we need to be so thankful for this blessing. We will miss Al so much and having seen him only a few days ago, we have comfort in knowing he is now with beautiful wife and parents. To his loving caring family, we can only imagine how sad you are at this time. Our prayer is that all the incredible memories you have of him, will comfort you. You are blessed to have such a beautiful family and we are also blessed to have known them for so many years. Love, Bill & Grace Huntt

We have some precious memories of Al and Mickey. We have been friends for over 35 years. Al was always so kind and brought such joy. They loved ministry and made many trips to Mexico and different parts of the world. Al supported so many organizations and worked tirelessly helping others. Al and Mickey’s greatest legacy will be Allison, Nathaniel, and Brian. We will see them again. It’s amazing that Al celebrated Easter in heaven with his precious Mickey Brown.

Al was someone I admired for his generosity, his love for his wife, his love for his family, his church friends, and his community. Alison said it right, he was faithful! The Brown Family carries a great name and legacy and I am thankful to have had the chance to know you! I want you to know I love and respect your father and mother, and have been blessed by them many times over! They are dear to me!

I met Al in 1976 when I was hired at the Brown CPA firm. He was funny and always patient with me as a young accountant. He knew Mickey was a friend of mine and asked me to introduce him. I had them both over for dinner and they were married shortly thereafter. Al and I shared many mutual clients over the years and we always trusted each other. He had an excellent memory and would remind me of things that happened years before and we would have a good laugh. Al and I remained friends for 45 years. I will miss him. Jann Henderson Knotts
