Betty Jane Franklin, 82 year old resident of Denison, died on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Baylor Hospital in McKinney. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Herlin Summers will officiate.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Corvin, Manfred McCollum, Mark Rowland, Clyde Todd, Stevey Perkins and Lee Franklin.
Cremation will take place after the service and a committal service will be at a later date.
Betty was born in Warren, Arkansas on August 29, 1933, the daughter of Annie Mae Kelly.
She was educated in Warren, Arkansas and got her LVN license in Arkansas. She married Lee Franklin in Greenville, MS on June 8, 1957. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1979. She retired from Texas Instruments and from Kwik Set. She was a member of River Pointe Assembly of God in Denison.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Donna Franklin of Denison, Wanda Rowland of Sherman, Diana Corvin of Clovis, NM and Becky Rauls of Warren, AR; brothers, Kenneth Kelly of Warren, AR and Bobby Kelly of Pine Bluff, AR.; granddaughters, Jennifer Bradshaw, Whitney Rowland, Briana McCollum and Sierra Corvin; great-grandchildren, Carter Perkins and Maya McCollum and many more family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie; husband, Lee; twin sister, Jessie McClain; sister, Juanita Turner; brother, Elmo Kelly and sons, Bobby and Robby Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Johnson-Moore Funeral Home to help defray the funeral expenses or to the donor’s favorite charity.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.

    I’m thinking and praying for you in your difficult times. I know how hard it is. My prayers are for God to put his loving arms around all of you and give you confront knowing that he loves you and will take care of you.Just remember that Aunt Betty has a perfect body now, no more pain and suffering and she to up there with Aunt Jessie ,MawMaw ,mother and all betrothed family at the feet on Jesus having a great time.
