Bruce Alan Powers

Bruce Powers, 59, died on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Denison with Reverend Alice McBride and Reverend Stephen Suffron officiating.
Bruce was born in Smyrna, Tennessee on November, 15, 1959, the son of George and Geraldine Fowler Powers. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Bruce and Kathryne Moore were married on June 13, 1981 in Denison, Texas. Bruce graduated from Grayson County College with his AAS degree and worked as a service technician for Sears. He was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro, Past Master of Andrew Randall Masonic Lodge which merged with Travis Masonic Lodge #117 AF & AM in Sherman and a lifetime member of the DAV.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Kathy Powers; mother, Geraldine Powers; son, Nathan Powers and his wife Brooke; daughter, Krystal Belmore and her husband, Jake; brothers, Jerry Powers and his wife, Lisa all of Denison and Ken Powers and his wife, Sherry of Midlothian, TX and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Denison Soup Kitchen (Center Cross Ministries), 566 McCraw Lane, Denison, TX 75021.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
