Cathy Sue Hageman

April 1, 1962 - May 19, 2024

Cathy Sue Hageman, born on April 1, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, to James Thomas and Norma Leona (Jones) Hageman, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024. Cathy was 62 years old.

Cathy’s life was marked by her deep faith and love for Jesus, love for animals, and a profound dedication to her family and friends. She cherished her time studying the Bible with her friends and found great joy and comfort in her faith. Cathy was a true animal lover, with a special affection for dogs. She shared her life with several beloved canine companions, including Brittany, Zach, Zoey, and Zippy, who preceded her in death.

Cathy was also preceded in death by her parents, James and Norma, and her husband, Mark Hawes. She is survived by her sister, Cindy Hageman, of Long Beach, California, who will miss her dearly.

Cathy’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. A gathering to celebrate and share stories in remembrance of Cathy will be held at a later date, to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cathy’s memory to a local animal shelter or a charity of your choice that supports animal welfare, reflecting her lifelong passion for caring for animals.

I had the honor of meeting Cathy through a work relationship at Ericsson. Always friendly, cordial and with an attitude of support and incredible service.

Thanks to our Lord Jesus, she is in His presence, enjoying an eternal life that she has already begun.

God strengthens those who survive her and can see, in the footprints that Cathy leaves, Jesus, for whom we live.

    A big hug.
