It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Delores Pearl Johnson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a pillar of her community. Delores departed this world on December 29th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and countless cherished memories.
Delores was born on March 16th, 1937, in Marshall, Wisconsin, to Francis H. Garmen and Pearl Helen Brown. She was raised with values of compassion, hard work, and a deep sense of family. On February 2nd, 1956, Delores embarked on a journey of lifelong companionship when she married James Kenneth Johnson. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life, building a foundation of love that would endure through the years.
A dedicated mother, Delores poured her heart and soul into raising her three children, Kathy Stone, Suzanne Wells, and Debra Johnson. Her nurturing spirit created a warm and loving home, where family always came first. Delores took immense pride in witnessing her family grow, extending her love to four grandchildren: Austin Stone, Jarret Stone, Jennifer Hancock, and Kara Chamberlain. She also extended that same love to her seven great grandchildren.
Delores’s life was a testament to selflessness and community service. She found purpose and fulfillment in volunteering at her local church, where her kindness touched the lives of many. Beyond her altruistic endeavors, she discovered joy in the simplicity of life – nurturing gardens and showcasing her creativity through needlework.
Delores is now reunited with her parents, Francis H. Garmen and Pearl Helen Brown, in eternal peace. While our hearts ache with the loss, we find solace in the knowledge that her memory will endure, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
In this time of mourning, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Delores Pearl Johnson. May the love she shared and the memories she created bring comfort during these difficult days.
In lieu flowers we are requesting donations to the American Kidney Fund.
