Doris Alene Warren Gosdin passed peacefully into Heaven December 18, 2014 in Frisco, Texas. She was born September 20, 1929 in O’Donnell Texas to George Percy and Minnie Mae Seals Warren. She grew up in Fannin County, graduating in 1947 from Bonham High School with her adult life spent mainly in Grayson County.
Family Night will be held Friday, December 19th from 6-7 p.m. at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20th at 10 a.m. at the Chapel at Calvary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
She said she lived during an amazing time as she grew up riding to church in a horse and buggy and got to see men walk on the moon. After retiring from Southwestern Bell, she returned to the switchboard to work for the M-K-T Railroad for a time. Her later years were spent loving her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and was excited about the two great-grandchildren joining the family next year.
She joins loved ones who have gone to Glory including her husband, Lloyd E. Gosdin; her parents and infant brother. She leaves behind daughter, Connie Melton and her husband, Mike of Frisco, TX; granddaughter, Laura King and family of McKinney, TX; grandson, James Reynolds and family of Sherman, TX; granddaughter, Michelle Melton of Frisco, TX; granddaughter, LeeAnn Breslaw and family of Lewisville, TX.
