Dorothy Laverne McCloud, 75 of Denison passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center.
She was born on February 27, 1939 in McKinney, TX. to Odell and Eva Brand Gautney. She attended Denison Schools and then married Benjamin Harris McCloud in 1957 in Denison. Mrs. McCloud worked in the emergency room as a Certified Nurses Aid at Wilson N. Jones Texas Presbyterian Healthcare. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Denison.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery Chapel with Reverend Mark Mitchell officiating.
The family will receive visitors at Deborah’s home at 110 W. Morton St. after the service on Wednesday for a meal.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Smith and husband Louis of Denison, Pam Balak and husband Larry of Anna, and Frankie Johnson and husband Jim of Collinsville; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; nephew, JB Mayo; and niece, Jennifer Lewis She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin; her mother; her father; her step-father, John Arnold; brother, Jim Mayo; and infant brother, Donald Gautney.
