My grandpa had a quiet, sweet soul. He was always kind and helped others when he could. He loved and cared for his family til his last breath. I remember when I was little, him sitting patiently while me and Tammie fixed his hair placing bows all over his head and letting us paint his finger and toe nails. He would just sit there and let us work him over with the slightest of smiles on his face. He always had candy and ice cream at his house and we would make a bee line to his house every chance we thought mom and dad were not looking as we only lived next door to them most of our younger years. He and grandma always there to help care for us. Gramps I will love and miss you forever!!!

Pam is right our Gramps did have a quiet, sweet soul. My heart is hurting because I love and miss him already. I have many, many childhood memories of him and just as many adult memories. He truly was one of a kind. I have never seen him angry or mad…he just had that little quirk of a smile and twinkle in his eye. He left this world in my arms, so I can only hope that he felt all of our love for him as he was leaving. Fly high Gramps :hearts:
