DENISON- Effie Lee Jones, 83 passed away at Denison Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, January 24, 2019. She was born the daughter of Jacob Springer “Jake” and Audrey Maurine Brooks Hall on July 11, 1935. She attended Sherman Schools for 11 years and obtained her G.E.D. Effie married Billy Bass Jones July 20, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma. She retired in 1992 from TI (Texas Instruments) from the line making bomb components. She is of the Baptist faith. Effie was preceded in death by her parents and son, Robert Bill Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Bill B. Jones of Denison; two sons, Frank Jones and Johnny Jones and four grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2pm to 3pm at Johnson Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Graveside Services will be Monday, January 28th, 2019 at 2:00pm in Georgetown Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Hancock will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
