FORT WORTH, TX. –
Emma Lou Jones Starling, 102, formerly of the Locust Community, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Trail Lake Nursing home in Ft. Worth.
She was born on July 11, 1912 in Hagerman, TX. to Willis Grover and Marlin Jones. She spent man of her early years in Arkansas and Texas, receiving her education in both places. Emma married Jack Starling and they lived in San Angelo until he preceded her in death. She lived the past 14 years in the Fort Worth area with her granddaughter, Cynthia and her husband Lee. Mrs. Starling was a wonderful homemaker and a talented seamstress.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Locust Cemetery with Jack Guilloud officiating.
She is survived by her niece Kay Miller of San Antonio; granddaughters, Cynthia and her husband Lee Sherman of Fort Worth and Elizabeth Jeffcoat of Joshua; great-grandsons, Josh Andrews and Nathan Swift; and great-granddaughter Sarah Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Starling; and her daughter, Jackie Jeffcoat.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
