Mrs. Frankie Walker, age 88, of Denison, Texas passed away peacefully on the 7th of February 2015 at Country Life Assisted Living in Lytle, Texas.
Frankie Nadine Goode was born March 2, 1926 at the Goode’s home place (Perrin AFB) in Grayson County, Texas. She was the second daughter of Frank and Bonnie Goode. After high school, she worked at the base hospital where she met, and later married, William K. Guynes, also an employee at Perrin. When Perrin closed, they moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma and worked at Tinker AFB for five years before she retired and moved back to Denison. Frankie lived most of her life in the Pottsboro/Denison area until 2009 when she was moved to a nursing facility near family in the San Antonio area and remained there until the time of her passing.
Frankie was known for her kindness, beautiful smile, generous heart and her love for the game of baseball and the Texas Rangers. She was a member of Gate City Chapter #77 Order of the Eastern Star. Her loving memory will be carried on by numerous nieces and nephews as she will be dearly missed.
As a beloved and devoted wife, Frankie was preceded in death by her first husband of twenty years, William K. “Bill” Guynes and her second husband, W.T. “Dub” Walker of nineteen years; her parents, Frank Y. and Bonnie Russell Goode and her sister, Kathryn Goode Book.
The funeral home will be open for viewing on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 1:00 p.m until 5:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m.Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas with Reverend Bill Brown officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
