Geraldine Mauk Rice, 96 year old Denison resident, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Keller, Texas. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Rice was born on September 2, 1917 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Richard R. and Velma Hughes Hamblett Watson and attended Denison High School. She married Cecil Mauk in March of 1936 in Denison. He preceded her in death in 1944. She married Ernest Rice in July of 1955 in Waco, Texas and he died in 1993.
She was employed by Ballard Biscuit Co. and had been a demonstration lady for HEB Food Stores in Waco.
She is survived by her son, Richard C. Mauk and wife, Judi of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Richard Mauk and wife, DeAnn and Greg Mauk and wife, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Kally Long and husband, Nathan of Hurst, Texas, Darcy, Trey Mauk, Lance Mauk; and several nieces and nephews.
