Henry Franklin Davis, 76, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his home.
Henry was born in Denison, Texas on February 5, 1945, the son of Levi Henry and Jewel Arnettie Newsom Davis.
His father died while working for the railroad before his only son was born. He attended school in Denison and joined the United States Army, serving in Germany as a paratrooper. After his service he enrolled in Grayson County College where he studied auto mechanics and went on to graduate from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in architecture. He found his niche as a computer programmer at Johnson & Johnson in Sherman and American Airlines in Dallas, retiring from American Airlines. Henry loved to travel, loved his family and his many friends. He was a loving, caring and generous person.
His wishes were for his body to be donated to science.
There will be a family visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison.
Henry is survived by his son, Brian Henry Davis and his wife, Charlotte of North Richland Hills, Texas; daughter, Angela Denise Hutson and her husband, Victor “Skeeter” of Lancaster, California; step-son, Andrew Harris of Corinth, Texas; brothers, B.R. Frith and Billy Ralph Frith both of Denison; sisters, Barbara “Bob” Bass of Waco, Texas, Louise Swink and her husband, Lonnie of Denison, Diann Frith of Denison and Joyce Balderman and her husband, Bob; granddaughters, Erica Hutson, Hayden Harris and Kayla Harris and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; brothers, Brooks Ray Frith and Bruce Robert Frith; sisters, Mary Lou Rich, Debbie Swink and Judy Frith.
Services are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
