James Edward Eubank

James Edward Eubank

May 19, 1942 - February 5, 2021

James Edward Eubank was called home on February 5, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Jim was born in May 1942, in Claremore, Oklahoma and adopted the next day by his loving parents, Gene Eubank and Marie Eubank Sandlin.

Jim worked for General Motors in Arlington, TX for 32 years and he would tell you that those were the best years of his life. After retiring, he just couldn’t sit around and do “honey-do’s”, so he spent 10 years with Capps Van and Car Rental, traveling all over Texas for his beloved employer.

A resident of Dallas, originally from Denison, Jim had a passion for drag racing and enjoying life. Jim was best known for always having a plan and his “to do lists”. A very humble man, he was inducted into the Texas Drag Racing Hall of Fame. A true friend, father and racer, who will be missed.

He is survived by his best friend, high school sweetheart and loving wife, Patricia Ozment Eubank; son, Michael Eubank and his wife, Tracy; daughter, Angela Eubank; brother, Tad Eubank; grandchildren, Ashley Hayworth and her husband, Michael and their children; Nicholas Eubank; Lynn Garner McIntosh and her husband, Jeff and their children; and Todd Garner and his wife, Tracy and their children.

Upon his wishes, a private graveside service will be held, followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date,

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jim’s memory to the Memorial and Honor Program-F, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Condolences may be registered to: www.johnsonmoorefuneralhome.net.

To The Eubank Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of Jim. I was fortunate enough to meet Jim along with his sweet wife Pat in 2013. Throughout the years, I have come to know them and was always ready to dance a little, share a laugh or catch up on what was going on in their lives. Their love and devotion for each other was a sight to behold. Jim was strong, kind, humble, funny and always upbeat, even as his days with us became more difficult. It was an honor to care for him. May comfort, love, and peace surround your family. With love, LaVonne E.
