John Flowers, 85, died Friday, June 17, 2022 at Settlers Ridge Care Center in Celina, TX. John was born in Marietta, Oklahoma on March 31, 1937, the son of H.L. and Nannie (Sutherland) Flowers. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, was an insurance agent, an enthusiastic golfer and a member of Parkside Baptist Church. He was married to Gayla Sue Wilson and she preceded him in death on April 15, 2021.
John is survived by his son, Johnny Alan Flowers of Denison and his grandchildren, Jennifer Flowers of McKinney and Tim Flowers of Denison.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue and his son, Jefferey “Jeff” Lewis Flowers on March 8, 2001.
Family visitation will be 6-8 Wednesday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Memorial graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery with military honors conducted by Fort Hood Army Honor Guard. Brother Jerry Coffman will officiate.
