In 1979 she went to modeling school and was soon picked by the Dallas TV show as an extra and then as a stand in for Victoria Principle where she was embraced by the cast of the show. She did three seasons.
Katie had a gentle and caring spirit. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her time watching game shows with the love of her life, Steve. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Hejny of Pottsboro, Texas; son, Stephen Hejny; three grandchildren, Matthew Hejny, Zakkary Hejny, and Brennan Hejny; and brother, Matthew Womack and wife Jody of Parker, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Dustin Hejny.
A memorial service will be held on October 14, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Elk’s Lakesite Social Quarters at 298 Elk’s Blvd, Pottsboro Tx.
