A true champion for animals, Kent was not content with mere activism; he was an advocate who actively contributed to the betterment of animal welfare laws. His advocacy played a pivotal role in effecting positive change, working towards the prevention of animal abuse and cruelty.
Among the many creatures that touched his heart, dogs held a special place. His love for these loyal companions was evident in every aspect of his life.

So many memories of my big brother but one in particular stands out. I was about 12 yrs old and spied an ad for a spider monkey for sale in the back of the boys life magazine. Mom and dad said if I could save up the 15 dollars purchase price…it was all mine. I saved and saved and finally had the money together but mom and dad changed their minds. So….big brother to the rescue! I don’t know how he did it…but Kent showed up with ( insert drum roll here) a…spider monkey! Best big brother EVER

I served with Kent in the network of animal welfare and always greatly admired him. His commitment to the animals is surpassed only by his commitment to his family. He was a wonderful leader that we all wish would be standing beside us forever. I am sorry to learn that he won’t be.
