Lola "Lorene" Gilbert Pressley

Denison – Lorene Gilbert Pressley, 80, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 9, 2013 at 1:00 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home, Denison, Texas with Reverend Bill Brown and Todd George officiating. The service will conclude in a private burial service at Cedarlawn Memorial Cemetery. The family time will begin at 12:00, one hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons; Chris Vaughn, Brad Vaughn, Corey Rice, Austin Rice, Sean Rice, and Kerri Nugent.
She was born April 30, 1933 to Rinalda and Effie Mae Thacker in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She married Lee Roy Gilbert in 1948 and was married 35 years before his death in 1983. In 1991 she married James Alford Pressley who also preceded her in death in 2005. She always said she was very blessed to have had two wonderful husbands.
Lorene worked at Pillsbury in Denison for 35 years retiring in the late 1980’s. Her coworkers were her second family, and she was very involved in activities within the company and was a long term member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved her church Harless Methodist and cherished their love and support. She loved playing all sorts of games and for many years enjoyed spending time with all her bingo buddies. Her biggest joys always revolved around her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughters; Danny Gilbert and wife Pam, Darenda Fothergill and husband Kevin, Malinda Rice and husband Gary, Theresa Bumpass and husband Mike. Also survived by step daughters Rena Oliver and Belinda Long and husband Colby. She is also survived by grandchildren; Eric Riddle, Terrie May Tucker, Lee McNulty, Corey Rice, Austin Rice, Sean Rice, Chris Vaughn, Brad Vaughn, Heather Vaughn, Lindsey Bumpass, Resha Oliver, Nicole Oliver and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sister, Irene Bowman. Preceding her in death are her parents, two husbands, 14 siblings, and grandson Joshua Riddle
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral home.
