Lou Ann Hess ( Mulkey) , our beloved Aunt, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2020 at the age of 80.
Her niece, Christi was faithfully by her side.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Justin Miller officiating.
Lou Ann was born November 22, 1940 in Denison, Texas to Hugh and Louise Zable Mulkey. She was baptized at the age of 10 at First Baptist Church. Lou Ann worked for many years at the Truck Stop, Jan’s Cafe, Walmart, and retired as a security guard from Ruiz Foods. She enjoyed spending quality time with her nieces, nephews, and their families. Lou Ann’s most cherished past time was spent with her loyal fur companion, Bingo. She also loved weekly family dinners, road trips, pool days, and visiting the Ozarks.
Lou Ann leaves behind her treasured family; nieces, Christi and Mark Williams of Denison and Sherry and Matt Gallion of Pottsboro; nephews, Billy and Heather McDonald of Denison, Teddy and Jill Eads of Illinois and Kirk Wilson of Virginia; great nieces, Ashley and Jesse Palmore, Madison Williams, Lisa and Cody Williams, Kelly and Joe Blewett, Shelby Wilson, Cicely and Cody Kidd, Cherith and Janson Jones; great nephews, Sean and Jacki Geiger, Justin Eads, and Tucker Wilson and great-great nephews and nieces, Parker, Paxton, Henry, Aero, Emalynn, Eli, Evelyn, and Paisley arriving in May.
Dear friends include, Dennis and Cindy Medlin, Rita Cole and her God nieces, Kristie Tignor, Heather Cooksey, and Lacy Hess. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Hugh and Louise Mulkey; sisters, Willeta Ross, Edwina Wilson, and Gaylene McDonald; brother; Ronnie Mulkey; nephews, Terry Eads, Kevin Wilson, Karl Wilson, and Troy Smith. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Garvin, and their Hospice Plus Nurses, Danita, Lindsay, and Shelley. Also, thank you to her case worker, Cecilia.
Masks and social distancing are requested.
Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of all arrangements. The family would like to thank everyone throughout this difficult time.
