Maria S. Morales, 87, passed away at her home in Sherman on Saturday, November 3, 2012.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home with family visitation to follow.
She was born on May 23, 1925 in Laredo, Texas to her parents Rafael and Maria Dilley Saenz. She graduated from high school in Laredo, Texas. Maria married Raul Morales on October 1, 1944 in Laredo, Texas. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker, caregiver and member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Denison.
She is survived by her sons, Raul S. Morales and his wife, Dala of Kaufman, Texas and Rafael Morales of Skiatook, Oklahoma; daughters, Maria Wells of Sherman and Ginger Lansdell and her husband, Ronald of Florence, Alabama; brothers, Pedro Saenz of Laredo, Texas and Rafael Saenz, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Lupe Rodriquez of Laredo, Texas and Toia Martinez of Laredo, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul; parents; daughter, Anna M. Wolfe; grandchildren, Alex C. Morales and Melinda Key.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Memorial and Honor Program-F, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
