Maudie Vessels, 84, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her home in Pottsboro.
She was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Maudie was born in Southmayd, Texas on October 27, 1933, the daughter of Argus and Lois Talley Wood. She and Eddie Vessels were married on June 30, 1953 in Southmayd. He preceded her in death. She completed her education through Grayson County College and was a Registered Nurse and Director of OB/GYN at Wilson N Jones Hospital. She was a member of Southmayd Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Richards of New Braunfels, Texas and Cynthia Vessels of Pottsboro, Texas; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials in her name be made to Southmayd Baptist Church, 302 Berry, Southmayd, TX 76268.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison.
