Max Edward Beshears, age 87, of Pottsboro, Texas passed away on February 13, 2023. Max was born on July 9, 1935, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, to Cyrus Edward and Bessie Inez (Debusk) Beshears. He married Anita Kay Morehead on September 27, 1957 in Merced, California.
Max was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He grew up on his family dairy farm where he delivered milk to the community. He graduated from Merced High School in 1953 and attended Modesto Junior College from 1953 to 1955. He then enlisted into the United States Army and served his country proudly. Once married and moved to Texas, he began his sales career while running a cattle ranch with his wife. He was a man of many talents, including running an indoor arena in De Kalb, Texas. He then moved to Colorado where he began his career at Kar Products, which was the third largest nut and bolt company in the nation. He spent 23 years there where he started as a salesman and eventually promoted to CEO. In 2000, he and Nita began a new adventure and started B&B Premium Cigar Company. Max loved being social. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking trips to Mexico. He was a musician, playing country western and gospel songs. He also enjoyed being around his horses and was a boating fanatic. Most importantly, he was a family man that will be dearly missed by all.
Max is survived by his wife, Nita Beshears of Pottsboro, Texas; daughters, Mechele McMichael and husband Steve of De Kalb, Texas; and Sheila Badgett and husband Tracy of Pottsboro, Texas. Five grandchildren, Christa Chinchilla and husband Pablo of De Kalb, Texas, Cayla Brown and husband Colby of De Kalb, Texas, Cody McMichael and wife Christine of Edmond, Oklahoma, David Carlile of Mill Valley, California, and Danielle Carlile of Durango, Colorado; Eight great grandchildren, Isabella Chinchilla, Emma Chinchilla, Olivia Chinchilla, Conley Brown, Blakely Brown, Atlas McMichael, Oliver McMichael, and a baby girl on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus and Bessie Beshears; and one brother, Wilburn Beshears.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, February 20, 2023, at Georgetown Cemetery, 539 Cemetery Road, Pottsboro Texas with Pastor Steve McMichael officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11:30 am, Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel, 511 W. Hwy 120, Pottsboro Texas 75076.
