Melba Anice Curry passed away on December 8, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born November 21, 1928, to Herman and Ottie (Piler) Simpson in Longview, TX.
Melba is survived by her children, Anice Schuenke, Janice Young, and Jimmy Curry Jr.; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Simpson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Melba was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Rains; second husband, Jimmy Curry; son, Philip Rains; one sister; and three brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel, 511 W. Hwy 120, Pottsboro Texas 75076. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the same location. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Georgetown Cemetery, 539 Cemetery Road, Pottsboro Texas for a committal service.
