Michael Wayne Kirkpatrick, 56, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his residence in Denison.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Denison with Reverend Mark Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Serving as his pallbearers will be, Roy Flowers, Brian Flowers, Sam Dozelak, Louis Dozelak, Mike Troufer and Jessie Jackson.
Michael Wayne was born on June 14, 1958 in McKinney, Texas to his parents, Bobby Jack and Stella Louise Sexton Kirkpatrick. He graduated from Denison High School and Baylor School of Radiology. He served in the Texas National Guard, worked at Texoma Medical Center for 20 plus years as a radiologist and was a member of First Baptist Church in Denison.
He loved to hunt and fish and will be missed by his family and his friends.
He is survived by his parents, Bobby Jack and Stella Kirkpatrick of Denison; sons, Michael Jared Kirkpatrick and Matthew Remington Kirkpatrick both of Denison; brother, Jerry Kirkpatrick and his wife, Susan of Independence, MO; and two grandchildren, Leia Kirkpatrick and Elliette Kirkpatrick both of Denison. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Huley and Jewel Sexton and Bill and Elsie Kirkpatrick.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
