Michael Wayne Sheppard, born on April 23, 1955, in Plainview, Texas, to Billy and Dorothy (Tyler) Sheppard, passed away on May 20, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 69 years old.
Michael’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his generous spirit. He was a loving father to his children, Mark Sheppard and wife Jessica of Denison, Texas, Melinda Sheppard of Denison, Texas, and his adopted daughter, Rauni Fletcher of Cartwright, Oklahoma. His legacy continues through his four cherished grandchildren: Damien, Fallon, Gabriel, and Kendra.
Michael is also survived by his five brothers, Phillip, Dennis, Alan, Kim, and Terry, as well as his sister, Karen. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and adopted family members, all of whom were touched by his kindness and compassion.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Vicki, and his parents, Billy and Dorothy Sheppard.
Known for his good will and care for others, Michael was a great role model who made a significant impact on many lives. He was loved by all who knew him and will be remembered as a man who embodied strength, love, and generosity.
