POTTSBORO
Mildred I. Wood, 81, passed away at her home in Pottsboro on Sunday, May 27, 2018.
Mildred was born in Hartshorne, OK on January 4, 1937, the daughter of Mack Cecil and Madelyon Townsend Henson. She and Jimmie J. Wood were married in Gainesville, Texas on November 25, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1987. She worked for the Veteran’s Administration as an Administrative Assistant until she retired.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Nancy Wood Lewis and her husband, Ricky of Pottsboro; son-in-law, Don McFarland of San Antonio; grandchildren, Donald Lee McFarland, Heather McFarland Reidlecker and her husband, Hermann, Jennifer McFarland Flores and her husband, James, Jimmie Don Wood, Jimmie Eugene Wood, Jamie Jones and her husband, Brian and Jeremy Lewis and his wife, Christina; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie; daughter, Catherine Wood McFarland and son, Jimmie Mack Wood.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with Reverend Raymond England officiating. Burial will be graveside 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.
