April 24, 1941 - January 21, 2019

POTTSBORO – Nelda Sue Worthington, 77 passed away surrounded by close family at her residence Monday, January 21, 2019. She was born at home to Ossie Morgan and Geneva Lewis Worthington. Nelda attended Pottsboro Schools and Hagerman Baptist Church on a regular basis. She was preceded in death by her parents Ossie and Geneva Worthington. Nelda is survived by her sisters; Betty Thomas and brother-in-law Ralph Thomas, Elneata Cassell and brother-in-law Robert Cassell all of Pottsboro, Texas along with several nieces and nephews.
There will be a family hour at 10am prior to funeral service at 11am, Thursday, January 24,2019 at Hagerman Baptist Church with Pastor Neal Alexander officiating. Her nephews will service as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery. Nelda’s family are very thankful for Dr. Duke Carlson and staff, Darcell, Shelia, Monica and Kimberly of Guardian Hospice, Evergreen Life Services, and D&S Community Services. At the family’s request in lieu of flowers please donate to your choice of memorial or Hagerman Baptist Church, 4619 Refuge Road, Sherman, Texas 75092. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.

    Evergreen Life Services enjoyed spending our days with Nelda. She loved to come to “school” and work her pegs and read her books. She put a smile on all of our faces. From all of her friends at Evergreen Nelda will deeply be missed and our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
