Patsy Marie Scarbrough, 73 went home to be with the Lord and joined her beloved husband, Charlie on Monday December 2, 2013 at WNJ Presbyterian Hospital.
Family night will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 – 7 p.m. at Johnson – Moore Pottsboro Chapel.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro with Reverend Bobby Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Watson, Andy Baker, Kenneth Poteet and J.W. Poteet. Honorary pallbearers will be her sisters, Ellen Sloan and Peggy Trawick.
She was born on February 11, 1940 to Milton “Bud” and Dorothy Granger Poteet in Dallas, TX. She recieved her education in Dallas at Forrest Avenue High School. She married Robert Charles Scarbrough and was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Nana” and loved spending time at her house.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Hicks and her husband,Chris and her three grandchildren, Baylee, Lauren and Ryan of Pottsboro. She called them her little angels and her life revolved around these precious angels. She is also survived by her daughter, Pamela Allen of Farmers Branch; 8 other grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Rodney Poteet of Haslett and Kenneth Poteet of Houston; sisters, Ellen Sloan of Sachse and Peggy Trawick of Louisiana; several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, two sons, Edwin Allen and Michael Allen; and one daughter, Vickie Allen.
