Ralph L. Finke, 83, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Denison Manor in Denison.
Family night will be 7-8 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Georgetown Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Hancock and Reverend Carl Bilderback officiating. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his 10 grandchildren and Honorary pallbearers will be, Norman Samson, Dale Samson, Bart Lawrence, Bob Schnitker, Ronney Finke, Jim Jones and Marcus Brown.
Ralph was born in Grayson County, Texas on February 1, 1934, the son of August Henry and Ruth Davis Finke. He was educated in the Georgetown schools and graduated from Denison High School in 1951. Ralph and Elizabeth Stratton were married on October 19, 1956 in Pottsboro.
He was a farmer and rancher and a member of Georgetown Baptist Church.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Finke of Pottsboro; sons, Larry Finke and his wife, Teresa and Mike Finke and Cathy Windle; daughters, Bonnie Finke and Charlotte Johnson and her husband, Bryan; sister-in-law, Jane Cayton and her husband, Bun; seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Finke and Carl Fred Finke; sisters, Pauline Hietman and Helen Schnitker.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Preston EMT Emergency, P.O. Box 518, Pottsboro, TX 75076 or to the donor’s favorite charity..
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
