DENISON
Ruth Marie Brown, 91, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the loving care of Mullican Nursing Home in Savoy.
Ruth was born on April 14, 1926 in Portland, OR., the daughter of Charles and Zella Henry Beach. She was educated in Oregon and Seattle, WA. Ruth and James O. Brown were married on July 14, 1944 in Seattle, WA and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1988. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, loved by all her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn Perkins and her husband, Johnny of Denison, Cindy Garner and her husband, Boyd of Bells and Lauren Brown and his wife, Emma of Grand Prairie; brother, Charles Edward Beach and his family of Torrance, CA; sister-in-law, Margaret Virginia Haertling and her family of Colbert, OK; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Means officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy. Serving as her pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kyle Perkins, Brad Garner, Chris Cooper, Mark Mackenzie, Jim Brown, Phillip Daniel and Blake Perkins.
In lieu of a family night, the family will receive visitors at the home of Marilyn and Johnny Perkins on Sunday, May 7 from 2-5 p.m. The funeral home will be open from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday to sign the register book.
