Timothy James Washington, of Denison, Texas, passed away on August 2, 2023. He was born on January 24, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, to Herman Dale Washington and Velma Jean (Smith) Washington.
Tim was a general contractor by trade, he worked along side his father and brother for many years.
Tim had a passion for the outdoors, spending a great amount of time on Lake Texoma, where he loved to go boating and spending time with his family. Tim also loved working on his land and taking care of his property. He was the ultimate handyman, never asking for help when he could do something on his own. He enjoyed riding his Harley and playing Texas hold’em. Tim’s greatest enjoyment was his family, spending as much time with them as he possibly could.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Washington of Denison, Texas; brother Ellis D. Washington and wife Sherry of Melissa, Texas; niece Melissa Self and husband Doug of Stringtown, Oklahoma; niece Tonia Elder and husband Edmond of McKinney, Texas; and several great niece’s and nephew’s and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Dale and Velma Jean Washington; and nephew Timothy Dale Washington.
