Ruth and Vince were very good friends of mine. We squared danced many a mile with them as Texoma Squares and also a traveling group. They were wonderful people to know and I have fond memories of them. They are now reunited in Heaven.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Venson and Aunt Ruth. My most vivid one was when my family stayed at their home in August of 1968 or 69,and we were on a family vacation and seeing the country from the back seat of a 65 Chevy. Uncle Vinson had just recently gotten home from one of his tours of duty in Viet Nam and Daddy and Uncle Bill were playing their guitars and Uncle Venson was on the drums. All of us cousins were singing…We had so much fun. Rockie, I’m so sorry for your loss. Now he’s in Heaven with your mom and brother. I hope you find comfort in the memories you have. He loved you so much. May he rest in peace. Love you, Denise Brown Ford Modesto, CA
