Vernie R. Meagher, 90, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Homestead of Denison.
Memorial graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Georgetown Cemetery. Bill Duckworth will officiate.
Vernie was born on February 17, 1923 in Delaware Bend, Texas, the daughter of Hose E. and Ada M. Hudson Turpen. She graduated from Whitesboro High School, class of 1941. She and Edward V. Meagher were married in 1972 in Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1975. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of the American Legion Auxlliary, VFW Auxlliary, Rebekah’s, 8 & 40 (Legion), Elks Auxlliary and Sunshine Club. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Turpen and several nieces and nephews.
