Wilbur S. “Bill” Greene, 91, died at Texoma Medical Center on Monday, August 11, 2014.
The family will recieve visitors at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home Tuesday from 7 – 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Josh Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors conducted by Ft. Hood Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Lawrence, James Pickens, Reban Hanson, Bobby Neely, Jimmy Cody and Stanley Pickens.
Bill was born on November 14, 1922 in Sadler, Texas. He was the son of Robert Milam and Grace Edna Siebman Greene. He and Dorothy Mae Hargrove were married in Denison on September 3, 1955. Bill was a toolmaker for Johns-Manville Corporation and a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II in Japan.
He is survived by his son, Gary Greene; daughter, Phyllis Lawrence of Denison; sister, June McCoy of Irving; grandchildren, Nathan Lawrence of Denison and Jackie Hanson of Sherman; great-grandchildren, Melissa Carpenter of Sherman and James Carpenter of Jefferson, TX.; partner, Norma Allen of Denison.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
